I just caught my peppermint shrimp eating my favia's and bothering my fungia. Ineed to get them out. Now! Does anyone know an easy way of doing this? I was thinking about putting food in a net and leaving it on the bottom of the tank and then when it went in, grab the net... any other suggestions without breaking my sps corals or creating a mess?

i have a cylinder fish trap that will catch just about anything i know when ever i had to catch crabs i would lay the trap on some rock wiht a shrimp tied to some live rock rubble in the bottom of the trap. they would fall in and cant climb out as far as shrimp go i would assume they would still be able to climb out so theirs a trap door that you can just close on them when they go in. i live in bethpage if your close (i dont kno where hewlett is lol) your more then welcome to borrow it or if you go on aquacave.com you can order a fish trap. i am sure their are easier ways to do this but just having the fish trap on hand is awesome i can catch anything i want if i dont want it in my tank. very useful

This is how I caught my peppermint shrimp. Just keep the net close to the glass so you can easily block their escape.
