Okay guys here it goes so my daughter looked into my tank today and said " daddy why doesn't Nemo have his house like the movie, the big fish are gonna eat him " at which point i tried to make her understand how Daddy's tank is set up but she just walked away sad and said Nemo needs his house. so at this point i don't like to disappoint my baby girl so can anyone help me out here what type of Anemone can i put in mostly sps tank that a Percula may attempt to host thanks Below is the list of spa and lps in tank 120gal

Mushrooms, GSP, Zoas, Purple Hammer, Millie, Birdsnest, Hydro, Green and Red cap, Purple Nanna, green button pylops & Kenya Tree, all small colonies of SPS and zoos are all over the place

There are no anemones that are guaranteed to never move...so your Nemo may be dealing with a 'motorhome' plowing into your SPS if you do decide to add one.
It could eventually settle in and you could clear the area around it of sensitive corals, but it can still move whenever it wants.
My other suggestion would be adding an artifical anemone (did I really just say that???) and hope he hosts it, but at least you would not have to worry about it :)

get a small RBTA and let it find its happy place. once it does it should grow and you can remove stuff around it. mine has not moved since i got it when it was about an inch long and bleached out from living in randys sump , it is about 8 inches across now and hosts both my clowns.

i would suggest a rbta as well. i have one in my nano. i feel like rbta do not kill/sting any corals like everyone says- well at least my nem doesnt. mine is actually sitting on top of my zoas and its touching my birds of paradise. everyone is happy in the tank
my clown never looked at my hammer or my 30+ head frog i had in my tank.

why get an anemone? try a frogspawn or hammer she wont know difference not that you wanna lie to her but the chances of the clown making the spawn or hammer its home might be good. my clowns were always in them

yeah they don't go anywhere near the hammer when my tomato was in there he did but had to get him out he was bullying my other fish

My BTA hasn't moved in a couple years but it does inflate to a large size.
How about an elegance coral?
I got one from MA and it was very healthy. Looks a lot like a nem and i have seen clowns host them.

Is your clown hosting any coral in your system? If the answer is yes, you can explain to your little princess that "Nemo" has chosen to make that his home, and that there no other fish in your system that would harm him. You can also add that you will never put anything that would harm "Nemo".;)

My Ocellaris has hosted my frogspawns, hammers, currently my elegance, and not the RBTAs.lol My Black Saddle Back would host the elegance & or the rbtas.
There is never a guarantee that your clown will host any particular anemone.:(

Im trying to make the tank SPS dominate but i wouldn't mind an elegance but what type of lighting do they need and can i place them on the substrate also i can't explain why i can't keep chalices or acans alive in my tank but can keep SPS go figure

I'd say some what in the middle for the growth, not slow, but not fast either. I've had mine for a little over 3years, and she has grown quite a bit I'd say she has about doubled in size since I got it.

In my tank I had to make a decision concerning my rbta. Either get rid of them or keep them. My guys always split and that's is where the problem is. In my tank the clones move around to find a new home. If you are trying to keep a serious sps tank then in the long run anemones may not be your best bet unless you have rock which is not very porous. I have Marco rocks in my tank and when the anemone establishes its foot deep n the rock it's a pain to remove it. I would recommend what some one else said and get a nano tank with anemones.

Oh of course everyone's tank experiences will be different but it would probably be better if your corals are not too large and are able to be moved around in case the anemone decides to settle right next to you acro colonies. After all where they will settle is their choice and not yours. If Ever come to queens I could give you a small one of my clones

If you want a lot of SPS corals then I would not get a nem. I have soo much trouble trying RO organize my coral around this nem that I'm considering replacing it with something else a clown would host.

Problem with everything else is that they all close up at night, and then the clown is left out in the cold.lol
Which is why I don't understand my ocellaris insisting on hosting everything but the nems.
