i just got my new T5 bulbs all set up

1- ATI blue plus
2- ATI blue plus
3- ATI aquablue special
4- ATI blue plus
5- ATI purple plus
6- ATI blue plus

my question was does it take these bulbs some time to develop their color. because i just plugged it in and its really not as bright as i was expecting, also my 1 and 6 slot can stay on as the other 4 bulbs turn off and when its just the Blue plus bulbs left on, its like a dim purple not really a strong blue like i expected.

Is this layout 1-6 front to back? If so, the AB special and purple plus should swap. Otherwise u won't really see the pop from the purple plus, If the AB special is in front of it.

ok ill swap those out mbg, i was wondering with this layout it doesnt really seem like i am going to get any coraline growth out of it because my tank for the most part is all blue. i have a white bulb from the previous t5 setup i had would it be dumb to replace one of the blue plus with my older white bulb i have. also is this set up good enough to support most corals?

Move the bulbs around till u get the looks u like. I have coraline taking off in mine. Actually tired of scraping it off the glass.
Yes, u can swap out a blue+ for a white.

i have gone back and forth between the following two sets (back to front):

blue+
blue+
GE 6500 (white)
blue+
Purple plus
blue +

OR

blue+
blue+
aquablue special
blue+
purple plus
blue+

Just depends how much blue you want, the white is nice, really lets the pinks and purples pop, but that one white bulb is very bright, not much of a blue tint to the tank at all. I would buy both the aquablue special and GE (the GE is pretty cheap, usually about 15 bucks) and see what you like best
