Understanding phosban reactors.

BRS easy to use its a house filter with a little modification.
Dont get the duo if your going to run 2 different medias then just get 2, because if you put carbon in 1 its flow rate lowers then so will your GFO.

I understand what you are saying, but I do have a question for you.
Since the carbon needs strong flow, wouldn't putting the carbon first work to lower the flow to the gfo which needs lower flow anyway?

I think if you watch BRS video they even mention this and suggest 2.

Just a thought, and it will be a little bit more work to hook up 2 but not that much.

Either way they work great for the price.

I have the Two Little Fishies, and they tend to leak. I finally wrapped some plumbers tape around it before I put the lids on. That is working to stop the leak from around the cap. But I haven't figured out a way to keep them from leaking around the rubber elbows. Also, the sponges that is suppose to keep the media from getting out do not do their job. For that I have to get, and cut out disk from the blue/white poly filter pads.
I run 2 daisy chained; one for gfo/phosban, and another for the carbon. I run them off of 1 1200 Maxi Jet.
I do plan on getting the BRS duo reactor as soon as I can.

Flow is equal throughout the unit.
The output flow is reduced slightly from the input flow due to restrictions in the unit and that is transferred into pressure. Not much of a gradient but its there.
Just get two separate housings one for each media type.

just tap of your return pump, install a valve and your done

I agree, just tap off your return pump. That's what I did.
I have the BRS dual reactor and love it. Comes with the valve and 2 chambers so u can run GFO and GAC
