Id help needed

Hey Guys,
What Exactly is this? I cleaned my aunts sand bed a couple months ago and alot of the pieces were bleaching out so I gathered them all up and mounted them. I have like 10 frags. The tips of the bristles are green..

So far they look great and took well to the new 175 watt halides with new 15k aquamaxx bulbs except they are taking up alot of room on my frag rack....
