The 20 watts is only 7 LEDs and not sure you'll really notice 5 additional blues color wise. I have the the 1W version of the second over my 120 and while it lights the tank very nicely the edges are noticeably dimmer to me, with that I'd opt for the first if I could keep the light higher up. The 60* lens will work wonders lighting the entire tank even 12 inches off the surface, think of a mag light; bulb only produces so much light but when you focus the light it appears brighter.

So u think the first light would be worth a shot? It prob will cover my tank better and that it has lens. It's 26x26x17in deep. How high would u keep it over the tank to start? Not a fan of hanging my lights lol

Yes, if my 120 didn?t have the center brace I would add a third and spin them 90*. On a 24*24 the second version will leave either the front or back of the tank noticeably dimmer. On your tank I?d say start 12? and go from there.

nope 60 whites and 60 blue

Angelo, is this total for both fixtures or did you chose the 1W LEDs?

go with the evolution 50 or 100 there really good leds lights

The nice part with these lights is the dimming feature, downside is the price next the eBay one.
