carbon and gfo ?

It wont slow the cycle down but why are you using GFO and carbon so early for? did you use tap water or ro water for your set up?
Ro, water, but my old LR was from my old tank and I don't want no P04 in my new 90g

(test with a 
Save your GFO, finish your cycle first. You'll get PO4 regardless, just by feeding the tank you'll be introducing/appending to your PO4 levels.

was the live rock taken right out of the old tank and put into the new tank or did you dry it out and then use it as dead rock in your new tank?
No I never dry it, use it few week after taken out of my old 46g was left I'm my 20 to maintain that good bacteria. And i havent test for po4, but i did have a small CYANO bacteria in my old tank, but I did use cheato in the tank that the live rock was being held on.

so you really shouldnt have a big cycle if you had a good amount of live rock from your old tank...
Dude i know, lol after 3 days I have some diatom and I already could see some gas bubble, plus I'm not running my skimmed so that help. I want my bac to establish it self out.
