That's up to you. The vortechs ONLY drawback for me is it only directs the stream straight. If you wanted to keep one other powerhead in that you can have some flow in another area of the tank by aiming the other you could do that. Put the vortech in with the other 2 powered off and see how the flow in the tank is. Then play around with everything until you get it exactly like you want.

That pump must be strong for my tank. How big is yours?I have another question for you lol. I'm not happy with my tank at all. I can't really keep coral that I want. So I decided to get the Pump get rid of some rocks that I don't like and my biggest concern is changing my CC to live sand. Would that be a problem?

I just got a new one that was broken from them. It's been a nightmare getting them to make good on it.

I had a wet side of my mp20 a couple of years ago go bad. I e mailed them and 2 days later there was a new wet side at my house. The only thing they asked of me is to return the old one to them in an envelope they sent me with the new piece. Have had nothing but great customer care and performance from them

They tried to do the same with me. First they sent it Fed Ex signature required. Not good when I work all day. Then it took 4 days to get to a Fed Ex near me so I could pick it up. When I did there was no return label in the box to send the defective one back. When I told them they told me to check the box better. The stupid box is 6"x4", not much room to hide a packing slip in there...
