Help with changing pads in mag float!

I'm trying to remove old pads from magfloat magnets.

It says use mineral spirit to scrub old glue...

Can I use 50% isopropyl alcohol?....or which is best to remove old glue?

I recent ly changed pads but on felt side it started wearing out in a corner not sure why
I'm trying again now.

Rather than change the pads what I did was buy a large cleaning pad and cut it into sections. I just attach it to the wet side and change it every few weeks or so. Much cheaper and works just as well.

I just use my thumb to remove the old glue on my magnet cleaner. I gave up on the felt pads as they are useless. Instead I wrap a microfiber towel around the dry side of the magnet cleaner.

Yeah. It's comical. You can burn through the felt after one use. Don't even bother with it just use a thin towel.

How do u attach it to wet side?

The wet side is rough like velcro. It stays put. I also use a thin dinner napkin for the dry side.
