Hey I got like a Gallon of sand I pulled from my tank 2 weeks ago ended up not using it. If you want it you can have just bring a container or bag I need the mini bucket....

Honestly man.. you have 2 posts and they're both "give me free stuff please" in the For Sale forum...

I know you're a "noob", and don't take this the wrong way.. but if you don't have the money for simple corals, maybe a Fish only tank is a better option. Reefing is a stupid-expensive hobby and a few dollars here or there saved on corals is NOTHING.

If you are looking to purchase corals, the Want to Buy forum is what you're looking for.

OP.. Someone could offer you a SeaClone for $50... that might seem like a good deal, but is it? (NO) .... What if they offer you some free Milliporas? Are you ready for those corals? Even free, Millis aren't' something an inexperienced reefer should put in their tank.

I would suggest doing a lot of reading about equipment, livestock, and reefing in general first. This way, you'll have a goal and will be more prepared to make buying decisions that way. You'll end up with better equipment and less livestock deaths. I'd much rather save up and spend more for quality equipment than take free or 'cheap' poor quality stuff any day of the week.

Introduce yourself... do some reading... ask tons of questions. In a few weeks/months you'll have a clear, well thought-out reefing plan.

hey i understand we were supposed to meet for some rock, believe me i know things happen and plans change, you'll see as you buy and sell stuff. but if you still need rock i got plenty. from baseball size to basketball size and self pecies the size of loose leaf papper and bigger. like $2.00 lbs

I just started a nano tank... 8gal about 2 weeks ago,.. So far I have spend well over $1,000... Tank, light, sand, live rock, fish, and of course the corals... I'm to zoas and boy are some expensive... I would def suggest figuring out what kind of corals and fish you want to keep before taking anything... While you do that set up your tank, and slowly keep adding live rock and your equipment...

You def want to make sure you can maintain a healthy tank and good light quality for your corals and fish...

Cuz if not it won't matter if it was free or paid, dead is dead...
