I am looking into getting a breakout box for my APEX, but I would also like to get a conductivity/salinity probe, so that would require me to get the PM2 module.

The question is the listing of what the PM2 can do has a listing for *6 digital inputs for float switches, water on floor sensors, pressure sensors, etc.* But in the picture it does not show anything where you can actually connect anything to it. Anyone have any idea???

I just want to make sure that I buy what I need NOW and if this does not act as a breakout box then I am not going to get it.

The PM2 probe module (shown above) , includes support for conductivity (salinity), temperature, and 6 digital inputs. The PM2 features are:

  • Monitor/Control Conductivity/Salinity and temperature.
  • 4 Measurement ranges (0-900 uS/cm, 0-9.0 mS/cm, 0-90.0 mS/cm, 0-50 ppt)
  • 6 digital inputs for float switches, water on floor sensors, pressure sensors, etc.
  • Full datalogging support in Apex Base module.
  • Up to 240 AquaBus modules can be added to the Apex system.
  • Plug and Play. Automatically recognized when installed into the system.
  • Two AquaBus connectors for flexible expansion via AquaBus
  • Comes with 3' AquaBus cable.
  • Galvanic Isolation for accurate and reliable probe readings.
  • Led Status Indicator
  • Upgradeable firmware.
  • Compatible with all Apex systems

have you seen the apex unofficial guide yet??? if not pm me i will help you out. you can use and S video plug and splice it to give you the same inputs as a breakout box would.

Yes I have. I know that there are work arounds and I can make my own BoB, but the question is really will the PM2 also act as a BoB...

I have the unofficial guide on my desktop. But I dont remember seeing the PM2 on there, maybe i just missed it.
