Ok do I just installed my ai sol's

I have 2 above my 90gl and the tank. It seems to shimmer a lot almost too much. The tank also seems dark? I have 4 buib t5 across the top before feel like it was a lot brighter. I keep tweaking them anyone have a good setting to start with? I'm at 45-30-50.

That is your problem. The AI will cover a 20 X 20 area if you raise them to say 12 - 16 inches. You are not getting any spread at 4 inches from the water surface.

You need to raise them.

Another thing is that at the setting you posted and with them being that low, you risk burning corals that are mounted high up.

Take it easy and slow. Raise them to 12 inches and then see the coverage. Then increase 5% a week (intensity).

They're also going to appear dimmer than a T5 setup. That's just the nature of LEDs. You can also get 70 degree optics for the center four pucks of LEDs.
