There is a problem with his bulbs if he wants growth.

Its not about PAR its about wavelength. There is a big difference between the two. Par doesn't equal growth, providing the correct color spectrum out of the bulbs is what provides growth. Having a balanced spectrum of your bulbs and you should be able to get both great color and great growth, right now he's towards the 20k/blue side.

Like he said, he's running actunics, blues and the purple which is blue/red. All those spectrums are to promote coloration in coral which he doesn;'t have a problem with. Its the growth thats the problem and that is controlled by your white spectrum.

Where is Sanjay when you need him?

So wrong the blue plus bulb has just about the same par as a white bulb
Your bulb combo is perfect nice 16-18k look its not bulbs leave them alone
Did you test your levels ?????

he has a white bulb in there the abs, also the blue plus isnt a pure actinic, his bulb combo is actually nice.

i use to do every other day but i have been feeding now every day for the past 2 weeks, and i also was lightly stocked for most of the tank with only 4 fish, but for the past month i have been trying to stock it up a little more, with a bluethroat,pencil wrasse,melanaurs wrasse, scooter blenny, lyretail anthias
