is a salinity of 1024 bad for sps? i usually shoot for 1025 but for what ever reason, it just never stays there it always drops to 1024. i don't skim wet, my ATO works fine. couldn't tell you why the damn thing just cant stay at 1025. i even just did a 10 gallon water change and it didn't raise the salinity to 1025. even though thats what the new water was made up at.

It won't necessarily be bad. SPS just prefer a higher salinity level but can tolerate a small percentage lower. Do you have any salt creep or small unnoticeable leaks any ware that could be causing the salinity to drop?

nope i actually have hardly any salt creep. deff no leaks, cause then the ato would be turning on way to much. and the tank is in my room so i could notice something like that. i am going to try to get the salnity to 1026 over the next week that way if it fluctuates between 26 and 25 i wont be that anal about it lol. i just dont like it at 1024.
