Kalk needs to settle after awhile you can remove water from top so you don't get that thick build up. You should start slow because it can quickly raise your PH. 1 or 2 teaspoon per 1 gallon of RODI water. You can add 2ml of vinegar for every gal. Mix both together and add it to your ATO. This worked for me while I went away for 7 days without dozing 2 parts. It did help slow down the par from not adding. Levels drop but not so much when I came home to start dosing again.

Ok so I get my BRS kalk tomorrow just wanted to know if this is right
To start
1) 1/2 Tbs of kalk dilute vinegar
2) add to ATO easy enough

My ATO is one gallon I don't let it run dry so when I'm refilling it should I empty that little bit out to be on the safe side?

Im going to tag along as I am going to start dosing Kalk through my ATO. From all the reading I have done it says to make sure your Calcium and Alk are at the correct levels prior to dosing Kalk otherwise the results can be catastrophic. The Kalk will help maintain the Cal and Alk. Did you get the BRS kalk starter kit? Or just the bulk Kalk

Yeah. The starter package has Cal, Alk and Mag to get your parameters up to par prior to using kalk.

Id link you the page but not sure of the rules about linking to stores on here. But if you go to the site its the first "package" under Media and Additives
