Other then taking apart the bulkheads; Is there another way to drain the water out of the overflows?
I don't have a small enough pump to get in to them.
I tried attaching tubing to the intake on a mj, but it didn't work. Would not draw the water up.
I have been using my feeding acrylic rod thing that PaulB made a while back, but it is taking for ever...
Any ideas?

I have drained the tank, removed the rocks, and throw out the sand. Now I need to get that awful smelling water out of the overflows...

You you by any chance have one of those python vacuum hoses? I wish you were closer...I have a 50ft one I could have brought over to help you out. It connects right to the sink and creates a vacuum..."no mouth to hose" needed. lol

take your 5ft hose stick it all the way down in the overflow, take a pitcher of water with a funnel if you dont want to spill or just the pitcher if you dont care, pour it in the hosewhile lifting the hose higher then the tank, fill it all the way up then when its full quickly lower the end into the bucket. it will create a reverse suction so no mouth to hose needed :)

I did have a python, now I have Mr. Lee's vacuum hose thing.lol The part that connects to the sink was in the basement with the rest of my aquarium supplies that Sandy stole from me.:(
Jimmy, I didn't put the overflows together, and honestly do not remember if they were glued in place.
Thanks guys & gal!;)
Off to bed, tomorrow I will continue with the rinsing of rocks, and attempt to rock scape.

Good night!:grouphug:
