I don't understand what agenda your aiming for. The first post goes into peoples stupidity/greed in regards to the market then you make 2 lines about threads and mods.
So, what is your goal with this thread? Marketplace or buyer/seller stupidity or an issue with MR, the mods and the way it conducts business.
MR doesn't solicit donations. It doesn't moderate according to clicks but it does try to avoid overly controversial topics such as religion and politics. This is a reef forum, not a general topic one even though some of it might correlate or be posted. The moderating staff is stretched thin, some of it might be left up for a few days before its caught, or it might have been seen and might not be worth causing trouble trying to fix right away until there is a big problem. Leaving a thread up for a day or two usually causes less problems then automatically deleting it without question. People don't like either but for some reason an automatic removal causes people to call the mods bad names, chief can probably tell you plenty of names he was called.
So, what is your issue? I'm at a loss. And I strongly agree that you should change your avatar even though i'm 100% behind the message.

I can only speak for myself, when I say that I try to treat everyone 'fairly', and give the 'benefit of the doubt' (based on previous experience)... and that is what I see with other mods as well... Of course EVERYONE has their own opinions, preferences and occasional 'bad day' which may affect their view, but all in all, this is a 'nice place' to spend your time, so I would rather NOT "be done with you"!
i agree 100%, had this done numerous occasions then you turn down other people because they are interested only to have them flake. i say if they have a problem with your price then they can just go and buy it new for even more $$$. granted there is nothing wrong with making an offer but like you said sometimes the price is firm and any offer would be considered a low ball

Low ballers are part of selling anything, I deal in reptiles and bugs, I sell some things in the high dollar range and always seem get people offering less than half of my asking prices, its annoying, but I ignore them and don't let it bother me anymore.
I sold a 180 reef ready with stand and canopy a few years ago, my asking price was $600 for a quick sale, and i had a dude off of craigslist(lowballer central)offer me $180 DELIVERED, that was probably the last time I cursed someone out in email, lol.

The rules state that no political or religious topics should be discussed on the forum, and the mods generally close the threads that apply. Not sure why you feel the need to bash people that work for free to try to keep this board running. As far as donations, I've never seen anyone solicit money, and the mods aren't taking home salaries from your donation. If you'd ever run a site this size, you'd know that it isn't cheap to maintain bandwidth and storage space.
Basically, if you don't like the mods or the site, no one is forcing you to be here.
As far as low ballers, if someone offers you less, say no. If you're unhappy with the transaction, use reefer ratings to let everyone know. Yeah, people can be annoying, but I'm not sure why you seem to be blaming the mods or the site.

The pm's with the ridiculous offers on items keeps the rest of the community from seeing what's goin on.
If all offers were done in a thread, then everyone would see it.

Couldn't put it better, reefer rating is there for a reason.... I had low ballers in the past, I deal with them like a man, with reason and accountability!!! And I've asked people for a better price as well, if they say NO, then I deal with it like a man as well and pay their price... No harm done just 2 people selling and trading (negotiating) for something that's fun, a hobby!!!

I thought low balling was the way of the Internet. Lol I am not a lowballer however I sell all my items cheaply. And I still get offers at 1/3 of my asking price. There have been many times that I have just decided to keep the item instead of dealing with those type of people.
And in reguards to the site admins, I was surprised at the stuff members get away with here. You want to get banned quickly or see a thread locked in a instant? Try some of that stuff on reefcentral!
