Reefoman,

I don't see any stats on the PAR/PUR rating
for all 3 lights you provided.

If you have a direct link along with your price
may be able to pursue.

Don't get me wrong, just want to help...
I lost thousands of dollars for testing LEDs, had many of them already starting from DIY to mulitichip ecoxotic cannons...
Spent hundreds hours for reading about the led light to understand how it works and why. What PAR means and what PUR means, what's the difference between MH, T5 and led... Checked pictures, talked to users (long time users) not new setups.
Product quality, parts quality, customer service, future possibilities...
I have vertex Illumina SR 260 you asking for better par/pur that's why I said SR 360 model which is stronger than SR 260. What I like about it? I can add additional channels or remove them, change location whatever... But there's probably better light than vertex, Mitras which is full spectrum light why I didn't get Mitras yet? probably because this light in pretty new on the market and I always wanted to try vertex, I fallow threads with tanks using GHL to see the progress.
If you're in the led market you should know already that par/pur readings means absolutely nothing and are very tricky about the led light.
You want to buy light to grow corals and enjoy your hobby...
I'm not asking for par/pur I'm asking for picture at least 6 months above the tank to see the results and don't care what manufacturer talking about them products.
If you like I can share some info with you.

To be honest.. The vast majority (if not all) commercially produced LEDs out there have plenty of PAR for a standard tank, especially a 40 breeder. What you really want to focus on is color. Try to get one of the newer models that come with more than just the usual "blue, royal blue, and cool white" LEDs. Youll be fine either way.

Reefoman,

Not here to start a debate, but from what I read
PUR rating is the most important for growing corals period.

I'm sure there are varying factors I need not mention.

Let me do a little more research on these lights.
In the meantime, if you had a price in mind that would
be helpful to seal the deal.

thx again for your inputs.

I'm on the market for lights too, I bought a deep blue solarextreme quad, but after 3 months the white lights aren't working, don't know if is a small fix but I'd rather go for led's instead of t 5's. Don't want to spend too much on them, but want something that I can grow corals with.

LED's

You are right about most LED's being adequate enough for standard tanks, but really wanted to get lights that will make corals thrive than just survive.

And, since I will upgrade in the future I wanted to focus on lights with good user reviews as well as the PUR rating I was mentioning.

The light spectrum is important too and this factor would not be overlooked as well.

The Vertex Illumina SR 360 will definitely be a price
range I am not willing to invest right now.

TMC Aquaray series, AI, Kessil or some Oprhek models are more in my price range I am willing to spend currently. I am always up for other light companies though.

Maybe I should have revised my title to pretty high end instead? lol.

Thanks for your interest.
Enjoy the rest of the holidays.
