I want to upgrade my radions but don't want to be a test dummy. I have been trying to find any user reviews online and haven't found any. If anyone could chime in that has them or has seen them in person I would really appreciate it before I spend 540 on upgrading my two fixtures. I'm mostly interested in how the uv effects sps coloring.
Thanks
Nikko

I seen the pro's in Action last night, and I must say I was very impressed , I was not impressed by the second generations at all, But the additions of the UV led bulbs are amazing.
Night viewing all you need is the uv led's , the mixture of royal blue and cool white with Uv is all you need for daytime Imo. Nice Colors'..all around
I must say for a small footprint the light output far exceeded my expectations .

So We all used actinics before and they were about 420 nm , ( my fav was UVI super Actinics )**which looks the same as the UV led's in the Radion Pro fixture ** so this is why I'm very impressed..

What I dont understand is why didn't Ecotech add more UV led's bulbs instead of just 4 per light ..

Why did we ever go to the blue light for night viewing when we had that popping UV ,My light I had built I added 8 UV led's , But stupid me it was wired with the blues ;( so no separate viewing of just the Uv's . When I seen the radions last night I wanted to go home a open up my fixture and re-wire them, but then I came to my sense's and went to bed..

I saw the Pro's at MACNA in the Fall and they looked very nice--I'd say the most natural looking LED fixture I've ever seen over a tank. To this old 14K halide users eyes ( and several others that I know ) this is as close as we have seen spectrally from LEDs. As always, I preface this by saying that I do not like overly blue tanks. I will also say that I like my Radion 1st Gen. but I run them on the relatively white 14K setting. If you are looking for a bluer appearance ( which of course you can adjust the Radions for) there are other, cheaper, quality options like the Fathom units which I also have and like for a different application.
