How level is your tank?

Just wondering how many of you folks out there have a tank that is completely level. If you're a little off level, how much and is it front to back, side to side, etc.:party:

Mine is perfectly level, but I would say 1/8" on a 6' tank is acceptable.

Dead on here. It's better to spend time shimming the tank to achieve perfect level than regret later. Off level in any direction puts stress on aquarium walls unequally

And pack of shims at home Depot will go a long way.. And yes its better shim it now before you add water... LoL....

I've had tanks for years on a 1/4 tilt without anything though i do agree of shimmy shimmy

Oh I know it should be dead on, was just wondering how many of us actually achieve that. I always shim my tank stand to get it as close to perfect as I can.

Shimming on carpet is a bit tougher, might just cut the carpet out and shim from the concrete.

When I first set it up it was higher on one side so I just poured more water on that side and it is now level.

My old stand was at least 1/2" making one overflow work much harder then the other.
Tank did not appear to be affected, but the stand did fall apart over the 5 years it stood that way, and I would get up every morning expecting a disaster. Never happened within the 5 years.
When the new custom stand was built, and installed it was 100% level! As the guys placed the tank back on the stand they accidently pushed the stand back a little on the left side so now it is a tad off. I'd say an 1/8" or so. The little 20 gallon is dead on.

Don't worry Kris. The earths rotation and the cycle of the moon should keep your water alternating between high tide on opposite sides of your tank. The average should be dead on.
