Tried your very best to save up and buy a new heater. Heaters are one of the cheapest peices of equipment to purchase. yet the one peice of equipment that will and on many occasion fail. Meaning you can lose all your livestock.

There are some things that you can get away with. But a heater should not be one. Not trying to preach just trying to give you sound advice. Im sure there are many people on the forum here that can help with a used heater. Will you be installing a controller with this heater?

Please take this advice. If you're trying to be wise with your purchases then this isn't the place to save. You can basically buy everything else used, except the heater. You've already proven the point by saying:

Heaters are the #1 product in our hobby to fail. Considering the cost of everything else we use, heaters are a cheap piece of equipment (both in cost and dependability). Be smart, buy a new heater.

PS - Great advice Stan ;)

A used heater will cost about $15. A new one will run about $25. This is an expensive hobby. Not trying to blast you in anyway but how to you expect to finish your build if buying a heater poses a problem.
