how much did your monthly electric bill rise running that thing over the summer?

Well if I remember correctly it draws roughly 9.6 amps. So that would be 1,152 watts. At an average 12 cents per kwh and running about 3 hours a day. (on and off periodically) the electric bill would be $12.44 per month to run the chiller alone. Thats not including a feed pump but I had mine plumbed into the main return.

Yep. It all depends on how long it is running though. Some people have them on all day and night. Mine was on for about 3 hours a day and you saw the math only $12.44 a month.

Man this would work great on my 250g because my temp is at 79f with the heaters unplugged,,lol also central a/c pumping and ceiling fan going all day...grrrrrrr
