Bubble Magnus Dosers Suck

I have the bubble magnus t01 triple doser and this thing has been giving me nothing but problems. 2 months ago it decided to dose half of my calcium container into my tank raising my calcium over 500 for 2 weeks before my testkits were able to read it again. Now I am struggling with inaccurate dosing. My cal and alk containers are never the same level even though I fill them evenly. I was busy at work and didn't check my tank for 2 days. Today i checked on things and noticed my alk container had a lot more fluid than my calcium container. Sure enough my alk was 6 dkh. I have been manually bumping up.

This is very frustrating. I am going to contact bubble magnus since this should be a warranty issue, but I lost faith in this product. Just curious what others experiences are with this doser? Do I have a lemon, or is this doser a POS?

How old are the heads? As the tubing wears, it will either lose prime if the containers are lower, or it will self siphon into the tank if the containers are higher.

I don't think it lost prime since I can see fluid in the line. When I hold down manual dose, it doses. Left alone on program, it does not dose the correct alk (much less). I switched to an empty, unused module for now.

Wow crazy to hear.. I've had mine for 2-1/2 years with no problems at all..

I would say check the heads & containers. Like stated above honestly I trust my doser and keeps everything rock solid. For a 5 month old doser something has to be wrong.

I am hoping to hear more experiences like this. I'm sure they will replace the heads under warranty. Hopefully it doses steadily after. I check my levels everyday now just in case. What a pita

Hey rich i noticed when i was dosing more then 2x a day on each i ran into a problem. But at 2x a day its awesome and no problems...

You might just have a bad doser, something wrong with the heads or you are dosing 4 or more times a day.....

I am dosing 135mls broken up into 8 doses daily.

I might as well dose manually:anger2:. I was trying to avoid dumping big portions of 2 part into the tank at once.

60 gallon display, 30 gallon fuge/frag tank, 20 gallon sump. I guess total water volume is 90-100 gallons. Ever since I put the 400w radium over my display the grow has exploded. I'm putting 1" per month on some pieces.

Gary I don't understand? Even and odd numbers? How many dosages did you break up the 170mls into?

Hey buddy you seen my set up ,using the magus doser also ,dosing 320ml of alk a day no issues yet..lol
But you could of just got a lemon ,it might be the heads or even the unit itself ,but if its still under warranty go and replace it ,it's a great doser when it does work..

rich pull the heads off and make sure there is no wearing on them or material in there, mines broken in 1999 ml of kalk water dosed 24 times a day, 20ml of alk and cal broken down and dosed 8 times a day and make sure the outlet isnt clogging that will mess it up also, did you try for a few days of letting it dose into a cup and see how much it was really dosing

The doser would dose about 14 mill's of alk at 12am than at 2am than at 4am and so on than cal would be 14 mill's at 1am than at 3 am than at 5 am hope you understand that now kinda confusing

I had one fail on me as well. One head turned on and never turned off dumping around 3/4 of a gallon of calcium into my tank. I contacted the manufacturer/distributor and they replaced the whole unit for me. Company is in California.

Used the second one for about a year before my tank was shut down without any further issues.
