Hey Everyone,

I have an ORA Yellow Watchman Goby for sale, as I am consolidating my tanks and won't have stocking room. I'm not sure why but while it is a YWG, its color is actually a steel grey with bright blue dots around its head.

I've had it for about 5 months and it is very healthy and eats great- pretty much anything I put in the tank.

Possibly this goby Im interested I just got a tiger shrimp so they would make a great pair:
Cryptocentrus pavoninoides, commonly called Bluespotted Watchman goby, is a Goby from the Western Central Pacific. It occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade. The name "Watchman" comes from their behavior in the wild, where they act as watchmen for their partnered shrimp. Totally Reef Safe and gets along with every fish in your tank! Blue-spotted Watchman Gobies are peaceful toward other fish, but may not tolerate other Blue-spotted Watchman Gobies. They are fine for reef aquariums, and prefer an environment with plenty of hiding places and a sandy bottom to dig burrows. The name "Watchman" comes from their behavior in the wild, where they act as watchmen for the shrimp.
Recommended Tank :
The ideal aquarium should have plenty of room at the bottom and a sandbed of at least two inches in depth. When startled or threatened, they have been known to jump out of uncovered aquariums. Always keep the tank covered and provide plenty of hiding places to retreat to.
Feeding and Diet:
will feed off the bottom sifting through the sand. The diet should consist of a variety of live and frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, live black worms, and prepared foods for carnivores. It should be fed frequently.
Level of Care:
Easy
Reef Compatibility: Great addition to reef or community tank

It is in fact a Yellow Watchman Goby, not a Pink Spotted Watchman Goby and it doesn't have blue spots all the way down its body like a Blue Spotted watchman.

He is ORA and I specifically spoke to them about the fact that it isn't yellow.
I called them about it and they basically said that they really have no idea why some of them are grey.

From ORA's site: "Alas, the Yellow Watchman juveniles that we offer are not always yellow. They are typically a beautiful shade of steel blue. We?re not quite sure if this is an environmental influence or a sexual phase."

Also, when I purchased it, I got it in the original shipping bag from ORA and it was clearly marked Yellow Watchman Goby
