+1 on dollar store,
i got a small 6" one for $15. also ive seen them at alot of pharmacies for under $20.

for something that cheap ebay +shipping probably wont save you too much $$

What about a fan with a temp sensor that will only come on if too warm that way I wouldn't have extra evaporation is there anything like that?

Get a good controller for temp control! Digital aquatics reef keeper is what i use. I plug my heater, fan, and fuge lights into my rkl.

Try contacting Alex at Aqua Vim, they are located in Queens. Huge warehouse and he sells fans with sensors, etc.. I believe their site is www.4fishtank.com. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Does a fan really cause a lot of excess evaporation or am I over thinking this. I have my ato anyways.

Yea, the air king is actually rusting on me. If this one fails i'll go with another lasko. Good fan.

I have 2 azoo cooling fans. One over DT and one over sump. They both work really well and runs silent. They are essentially computer fans in a nice housing with a switch. They are expensive, but I like them because of the clean look.
They are both now controlled by an Apex and depending on temp the second one will kick on if the first isn't doing the job. And yes they will cause a lot of evaporation. Especially if you allow them to continue to run 24/7 and your heater needs to turn on to heat up the water.
