Thanks. I had them for about 3 years now. That's the female in the pic. And they just started to spawn but I don't know how tho raise them. But that's another topic. I had bought them from another mr member because they had cotton mouth and he did not want to deal with it. He was a younger fella and told me they were Picasso. So I just took his word for it. But looking at them and how they've matured and colored. I wondered what they really were? It's crazy how many different responses I've gotten. And I'm still unsure. Here's a pic of when I first got them.

When you have not standard bar like the pic, it's considered a picasso already. But since the pattern is not very crazy, it's considered as a lower grade picasso or semi-picasso by some breeders. Then, if the Black shows up when small(within 1.75" then it usually is a Onyx as well. Percs also show dark coloring when getting much bigger like at 2.5"-3.5". Onyx will get very dark by the size of 2.5" or up. What's the size of your fish now in the first pic.
