Since a post was about leaking tanks. I would like to go a little further. First did Oceanic sell to AGA and start Deep Blue..Oceanic to me was tops in making tanks. I remember O'dell was other good company. Can't believe RSM their tanks are like bullet proof.
Ok, Aqueon, Perfecto, AGA, Deep Blue, Marineland, now Terta making tanks? I'm not to confident anymore. I wouldn't mind buying a small tank by any of these guys. But 100 or more gallons. I question myself. What's your opinion on bigger tanks and the company you trust. I know every company will have defects. Lets hear your input...

I was the one who started the tank breaking thread. Don't let my OCD (paranoia?) get to you :lol2: ..with few exceptions, I'm willing to bet most tanks are ok, provided they're setup correctly, and not unlevel, twisted (where one corner is lower than the others, or the front left and back right corners are higher, for example), or similar.

Really the three companies that concern me right now are Marineland, Cadlights, and glass-cages. Marineland used to be very good, and glass-cages is hit or miss, from what I've seen. Cadlights really went down hill also. People have complained about Deep Blue, but their tanks are everywhere now. So many people have them that there's bound to be some tank failures. I'm sure they're not as well made as some of the other tanks, but many people have used them with no issues.

IMO, Elos is at the top. Their tanks are well made and the glass is usually 2x as thick as it needs to be. I would definitely trust reputable custom builders like Reefoman also.

EDIT: I make no guarantees of anything listed above. If your tank breaks, you're on your own :D
