Adding sand to an established tank !!

Looking to add more sand to my tank and wanted to know what was the smoothest and safest way to do it ? as always All advice is greatly appreciated

Anytime brotha, but I think I'm also concerned about cycles and anything that may go foul in my tank , should I use live sand or plain new sand ?

If I'm not mistaken Arnaldo used pink Fiji sand from a bag, not sure if it was live or plain though. I'm sure he'll chime in.

the cycle if any will be minimal. I've added a bag of sand to my tank in the past without anything negative happening. There would be a cycle if there was dead organic matter in the sand and not fresh from the bag. The cloudiness will clear in a few days after you add it.

add little by little... do not overwhelm the system by adding too much. Place sand in the areas that you want to cover over weeks not minutes.
