More Apex Questions

I had asked a few months ago about internet connectivity. Not going wireless since my router is only about 10ft away from the tank. I was going to go with the Jr. but changed my mind and i'm going to go with the Lite. I'm thinking about asking the wife to pick me up a pH probe and a AWM Module for Christmas. My Vortech isn't wireless so the WXM Module isn't in the picture. Any other suggestions?

Breakout box for ATO switches

The breakout box is $40 and it allows for many switches to operate system functions.
You could set up a low water shutoff that would shut the main pump off if the water level gets too low.
A high level shut off for your skimmer collection cup.
There are many options for this even if you do not use it for an ATO and it is only $40.

Would probably be too big for the collection cup on my skimmer. I'll take a look at it and see what it looks like

Are you using the apex for your biocube? If so with the equipment list in your profile you would be pretty much set.

You could also have a high level switch to override the ato if it gets stuck... $40 isnt too much more....

Yep the breakout box is a nice addition for cheap to ensure security...

You can get nice switches with mounts from the makers of the Reefkeeper Lite.

Yup its a great feature to have! I think if he is getting the Tunze ATO for his biocube IMO they are super reliable and it may not be necessary. Tunze has built in fails safes as well for over filling.

You could also have a high level switch to override the ato if it gets stuck... $40 isnt too much more....

That's what I was reading. I'm considering the Tunze Osmolator 3155 or 3152. Probably leaning towards the 3155 after reading all of the reviews

Yes this is what I have. Really nicely built, albeit the wires are a bit short.
