Coral going crazy

Good morning to you all on this snowy day. I need some advice on how to get rid of this coral and also please if someone can identify. They are multiplying like crazy need to cut them. The question is how so they don't come back growing. Sorry the picture came out sideways as I did this from my iphone.

They are palys and you need to be very cautious while messing with them. They have a strong toxin that can get you real sick. I would just take that rock out

And in terms of palys- please be careful with them. I know one person who landed in ER because of inhaling fumes while cutting them with dremel.

Seriously, you really don't even want to touch them,, even in the water, I'm with the others..either remove the rock entirely or just live with them. The toxin is extremely dangerous

I cut a Palyrock in half yesterday, no gloves it didn't make me sick. I'm not saying it's not toxic or it will not make you sick i just totally forgot...

They really slime when you go to remove them, gets all over the place. The best thing to do is to take a pair of scissors and cut all the heads, catch them with a small net or turkey baster, and then throw them away. Keep doing it until they're all gone.

i have the same ones, i used kalk paste with a syringe in the mouth, a couple at a time.
i don't think it would be good to kill a lot at one time. but like mentioned cutting will be faster, but i thought they will grow back. will they?

Yes they will, Be sure not to do them all at one time tho. do a few heads a day.

also an ID for them:: Green Button polyps. Very invasive, They will take over your rock work with no time to spare. They are worse then Sea foam Palys.

thanks all need t get a propagating kit and start the proses these are getting out of control , all of those grew in a matter of 6 month out of one polyp.

Whoever kills coral doesn't deserve to be in this hobby. Last I checked u buy corals so they spread not so u can kill living things. Smh how about so research before purchasing things. Just my 2 non coral killing cents.

Good thing I didn't buy the coral and since the are so invasive they deserve to be controlled just like any other living thing, for example Canadian goose, or lion fish.

This whole hobby is based around taking a living animal and cutting it over and over again just to make $$$$. Basically like skinning live animals to make a fur coat. Do what u want dude what's another polyp right.
