What kind of emergency do you have that you need sand? Since it's an emergency I have a 5 pound bag of red sand and a 5 pound bag of black.

Thank you everyone for your offer. I called a pool service place and got some. I stumbled over my sand filter and lost a lot of sand. I was able to get enough off the ground to keep my system stable. Plus I have a back up filter and sump. I justed need some to fill the rest of the filter. I appreciate everyone's offer.

The sand is silica free. I Itss a normal pool sand filter. It got knocked over while backwashing. I will get pictures later, but the filter is just the basic pool filter.

I would guess that a 'basic pool filter' weighs at least 200 lbs w/ sand and water in it...not to mention that the plumbing should help stabilize it...:scratchch how did the sand get out?

My sand pool filter with water in it is close to 400lbs......
plus 1 on how did you lose sand? Can it be picked up or swept up to save?
Pics please of filter and set up so we can get a picture in our mind instead of guessing ....
