thats a shot in the dark there. just speaking out loud not cause the picture is dark. if you dont like what you see its okay, just take what ever that is and scrape it off and dip it before you put it back in the tank. sorry i cant help ID what it is.

Nudis lay their eggs on the side of a zoa polyp

Hey ms Kathy! and thank you again! do they only lay eggs on the side of a polyp or can they lay them anywhere? i have tons of white c shaped sacs on my glass... thought it was snail eggs but not sure... they look similar to what is in the picture you posted but they are solid white not a bunch of little dots like that.....

To my knowledge, they only lay them on zoa polyps. I assume so the little baby buggers can get right to work ripping our hearts out :(

I tried to get the best shot I could with my iPhone.... There are a bunch that are C shaped and others are just white dots both have been in my tank since it started to cycle. I just got home from my LFS and the guy there said barnacles? Let me know what you guys think...

Those spiroid snails ..yes snails. They are common on the glass and rocks especially in newer tanks. You can scrape them off the glass, likely they won't reappear there. After a while you will not even notice them on the rock.
They are harmless :)


If you Google them you can see what they look like close up..as they are kinda small ;)
