Hello everyone its me again...
I have some crabs in my DT that i believe to be gorilla crabs... I only noticed them a few weeks back when i was having problems with some of my frags disappearing... So i guess they hitched hiked there way into my tank on my live rock as i did not put them into my tank.. i have been trying for weeks to remove them with a crab trap but they don't go in it...
My question is and i really don't want to do this but if someone thinks it will work i guess i have too... i have a 90G NON RR tank sitting around ... i was going to make maybe 50 gallons of saltwater and put it in the 90 with a few powerheads... then take all my rock apart and put it in my 90 and try to go through the rock and find the crabs and tank them out... I'm sure this wont be easy and will be very time consuming and the rock will be out of my DT for some time... will this cause my tank to go through a "bad or new tank cycle" when i put the rock back in my DT?? everything in my tank is very healthy! so i was assuming that if it is just a little cycle i will have to deal with, everyone would be fine (coral and fish) if i do a few small water changes to keep my parameters in check.. i really need to get these crabs out and this is the only other thing i can think of... i need to get these guys out as i believe they are the ones eating my coral..
THANK YOU IN ADVANCED FOR ANY HELP!! HAPPY REEFING!!
