Do u guys clean the mixing container after every water change?? Ro water or tap water ??
I found my self cleaning over and over and over with ro water until i pour some water and reads 0 on the DTS meter.
Is this necessary?? Would it be ok to simply put more water and mix it even tho it mayb a bit of water from last mixing??
I mix 20 gallons in a BRUTE container
Thanks.

I used to have to clean mine frequently when I used RC salt. Eventually, a brownish slime would start to coat the inside of my water holding tank.
When I would test my holding water it would have relatively high TDS reading!

I switched to ESV eventually, and that slime doesn't happen. However, I do need to be careful to not contaminate the fresh RO water with salt residue, etc because after a while it may read like.... .03 ppm

Then I take it and rinse it with Vinegar and water. Then it's like new.

I haven't ever counted how many times I do that though. I may just randomly stick the TDS meter in and if it registers higher than 0, that I'm not comfortable with, I will wash it out the next time it is empty.
.03 isn't that bad.

I dont know if this happens to you guys but next time you pour ro water to mix it that ro water does not read 0.
Thats why i clean it and clean it.
So if your ro water read 0 in your holding container but as soon as your transfer some to your mixing container reads higher the 0 whats the point??
This happens to just me??

Once you mox saltwater the tds should be high. If theres any salt or saltwater left in the mixing container you are going to see some TDS. I would not expect 0 dissolved solids after you dissolve stuff into RO water...

This is exactly my point Since you dont expect to be 0 after u mix saltwater is it ok to continue mixing 0 ro water in the container ?? Without completely clean it or mayb just twice a year??
I maybe wrong but if u pour 0 ro water into ur mixing container and it reads higher in it , isn't it like going backwards??

Measure mixed salt water and your tds will be off the charts...the tds that your measuring is from the salt mix residue...i'm not gonna say yes don't clean your container but this is where its coming from...its the same stuff your adding in. The tds you take out with your ro/di is different solids.
