It's time for me to replace my T5's. I never tried KZ super blue and was curious how it compares to ATI blue plus in color and intensity. What do you think?

Only way you would ever really see the difference in the two bulbs is next to each other.

This is what I've heard as well. The KZ is lightly more lower wavelength, IE more deep blue. But the ATI might be *slightly* brighter. (to our eyes, which means nothing) I think in terms of PAR they are nearly identical, for whatever that is worth. As to which is "better" ... who knows without a lot of testing.

I run 5x ATI Blue+, 2x ATI Purple+ and a GE6500k. I think when I next change bulbs I'm going to get 2x KZ Super Blue as well to play around. Can't be much wrong with running a mix right...best of all worlds?

Ive only ever used the blue plus. I like them so stick with them.
ATI 54W Blue Plus T5 HO Fluorescent bulb combines the properties of a blue bulb (approximately 460nm) with an actinic bulb (approximately 420nm) producing an intense blue light with high PAR numbers and a light spectrum that encourages both bluing in SPS corals and fluorescence in capable corals. Also helps balance out a washed-out/yellow hued tank. Recommend Use: as a supplement to metal halides or in combination with Aquablue Special, Purple Plus or other full spectrum T5 bulbs. Can also be used for dawn/dusk applications. (Similar to KZ Super Blue.)

Korallen Zucht 54W Super Blue T5 HO Fluorescent bulb combines the properties of a blue bulb (approximately 460nm) with an actinic 03 bulb (approximately 420nm) producing a spectrum that encourages both bluing in SPS corals and fluorescence in capable corals. Also helps balance out a washed-out/yellow hued tank. Recommend Use: as a supplement to metal halides or in combination with Fiji Purple, New Generation, Coral Light or other full spectrum T5 bulbs. (Similar to ATI Blue Plus.)

I run the kz and the blue plus. Really like them both and definitely recommend giving the kz super blue a try. They are very similar with the kz being a lil bit crisper blue.
