The PSI on my appartment is 30 rarely going to 40

And on my RO unit is 70 with the booster pump.

No that i need it but is there any way to improve it ??

I have a spectra pure rodi and the max safe PSI I can run is 80. I would refer to the manufacture to check what the max psi is on your specific unit before you try and increase it the pressure.

from what i know most say 60 psi but they can be wrong. My psi has been 60 and my tds is - 0 so i don't care and don't worry :biggrin:

i have a 150gpd 5stage from BRS.

if you get 60 PSI w/o a booster pump you don't need one, because if your PSI is greater than 80 PSI you need something (like another kind of pump) I forgot the name to make it lower because if the waters goes too quick thru the membrane it doesn't filter the water appropriately
I have to run a booster pump because without it my PSI is 20 :grumpy:

its called a regulator i have one on my house cause in coming pressure was over 100psi.
their is a max and min required pressure for individual ro units.

you have to run a booster pump
if your making water with 10 PSI your membrane is probably broken already

I have the BRS 4 stage unit with TDS monitor and pressure gauge. It takes about 3 hours to fill up one of the Nutra-Sea 4.4g bottles. I usually start making water a day or 2 before I need to mix water for a water change.

I changed the membrane last November and I have a spare in the shed. But the TDS input and output has always read zero. Even when I made the change.
Is it difficult to hook up a booster pump?

60 psi is just great, make sure u not running over 80-90 psi , the cheap RO/DI from e-bay may leak.

No problem brother!! Booster pump is easier then ur actual rodi unit. Make sure u get a auto shut off and a float valve. Makes ur life a lot easier.
