Tyvm I am interested I was using bio pellets but my sps took a hard hit and i lost tons stning from the tips down and I removed the pellets and went back to gfo but I hate gfo its to expensive and I dont feel like it truly keeps the po4 down it works for the first few days then after i feel like it doesnt do anything. I have 0 fish in my tank right now just sps and my po4 is 0.13 and im running gfo exactly what the recommended usage is.

My 75 is 85-90% SPS and running ecobak pellets.

No issues, tank looks good. I researched threads for a few months and found Ecobak seems to be the easiest and most forgiving.

but whats your bio load looking like and how often do you do water changes

hard to prove a products works with a light load and frequent changes

I think is nice combination between Carbon (corn sugar) and porous media and make the product very effective, in anther words , NEW shape of Biopellets, hold more bacteria around and create more biomass, list that what i believe. Still some rules when run Biopellets.

Run a GOOD protein skimmer
Start 1/4 to 1/2 they suggest
U may have to balance
Make sure they move around.

Last water change was in January when I swapped sumps. So 5 months ago.

8 fish. Fed pellets twice daily. Been busy with other stuff this year. It works. Tank has never looked better.

Guys keep in mind any kind of pellets remove nitrates and phospates in a proportion to each other so If you are like me and normally run non existent nitrate the pellets will not remove phospates on its own. That is the reason I stopped using them after 5 months. I still had to use gfo with those.

Or add a small amount of nitrate to keep pulling phosphate.

these new pellets have GFO on them to remove both unless Im reading it wrong

I hope they do and am anxiously waiting for any reviews. I've been using bio-pellets on one of my systems for the past 4 years that is heavily stocked with fish and have tried about 5 brands. They all do reduce No3 but as for Po4, not one drop in my situation. I understand the Redfield Ratio concerning bio-pellets but none of the different brands that I have used reduced any Po4 at all.
I will say that as an ongoing pellet user, I do prefer Eco-bak over any other brands that I have tried. They do not clump and tumble well even as the amount diminishes.

The only review that I read is the guy that developed the new pellets and it took him 4 years to develop them and he's having great success using them for a year.
