I hope they do and am anxiously waiting for any reviews. I've been using bio-pellets on one of my systems for the past 4 years that is heavily stocked with fish and have tried about 5 brands. They all do reduce No3 but as for Po4, not one drop in my situation. I understand the Redfield Ratio concerning bio-pellets but none of the different brands that I have used reduced any Po4 at all.
I will say that as an ongoing pellet user, I do prefer Eco-bak over any other brands that I have tried. They do not clump and tumble well even as the amount diminishes.

like mbg75 said all the time , u have to balance, then NO problem.

Guys keep in mind any kind of pellets remove nitrates and phospates in a proportion to each other so If you are like me and normally run non existent nitrate the pellets will not remove phospates on its own. That is the reason I stopped using them after 5 months. I still had to use gfo with those.

Rob, Biopellets works, works even 20 years ago, the name was Danny Bioballs, same bioplastic I still have some, the point is, HOW to use it , start 1/4 NOT even 1/2 they recommend , then most of the time , u have to balance.

They work because you have to understand how they work biopellet is a carbon source, so in redfield ratio Carbon, phosphate and nitrogen needs to be in proportion. So if either one is off it will not do it's intended purpose. For me when i ran biopellets i always ended up with nitrate deficency. You have to purposely add nitrate back in the tanks to have it continually pull down phosphate. Not to start a zeovit arguement but that is the reasoning behind their system. zeostart which is the basic 4 is carbon and nitrate dosing to build up the bacteria pop so they start consuming phosphate.

Where do you buy nitrate to dose your tank when using bio pellets and what did you keep your Alk at cause I also heard high Alk like 9.0 will also kill Sps and it should be around 7.0-7.5 when using bio pellets?

Been running eco-bak since Dec. with ALK 9-10
NO3 0
Phosphate 0.08-0.1 no matter what i do it wrong go down till I dose NO3 to 5-10ppm. PO4 now 0.004
this's what I use to add nitrate thx to Widdy.

Most of LFS they stock (Fish Town USA etc.)
Alk 8 or 9 dKH is just fine.

why spend the money on seachem flourish when all you need is ebay and search for sodium nitrate which is a preservative they use for cold cuts and fertilzer or potassium nitrate. the same price you pay for a bottle of flourish you get a 5 lb bag enough to use for years
