alk build up on doser

For the people who dose how do you avoid or can you avoid the alk solidifying on the end of the dose line. I have it cut at an angle it seems to help but not good enough. This time it got me good it clogged the line all the way up to the doser and was spilling on floor ,so it did not dose for 2 days. My fault for not checking it , been working overtime and only time I had was a few late feedings at night. would putting the alk line all the way in sump so the end of the line is submerged stop it?

I have not done this myself but I have seen ppl run their ATO line (fresh water) directly over the Alk line there by "rinsing" the line every time the ATO kicks on.

+1, i think he keep the hose (1/4" ) in the water.
