NO more Tunze pumps for me.

I got this pump (like spare, for my Protein Skimmer) for almost two years, I just test it, may be run few hours, I rinse all the the pumps (RO/DI) then today I decide to make one DIY Protein Skimmer, I like DIY, than the pump wont work, I remove it then.....................WHAT, she NOT even see the Vinegar, no reason, never use.

That stinks. For what its worth, I have had the impeller split on Eden,Mag Drive, and Sedra pumps as well. This issue is not a problem unique to Tunze unfortunately.

Also. Your pump is two years old. Who knows where it was for those two years or if there was any moisture or chemicals that got into the impeller (even if you had no idea). Not a reason to completely denounce Tunze as a company. They've made plenty of quality pumps in their many years of operation.

+1 Contact roger. He replaced/repairs pumps for me at 0 cost except shipping. Fast turn around time too.

I keep the pump , inside the cabinet, next to all spare filters RO/DI and pumps, how come MikeC, post same problem, about rusty contamination inside the tank from Tunze pump? 35 % Humidity , 72-75 F temp. CO2 624 ppm, more clean and better than many, many places.lol
I own the pump from the first day, NO second hand etc.
