I got him in way too big for my 60g tank.At least 7-8" and need at least a 6-7 foot tank 300g or better I assume.Need to get 225.00 for it.Needs a huge home.Need to bring bucket and large nets as I do not have them.
I've a friend that may be interested. Has a 6ft tank (though I wish I could find one sized for my tank!!) Do you have clearer pics of him?
Are his eyes actually cloudy or is it just the picture? Can't tell.
You need to get him in a QT that's at least 40g to 55g and isolate him so he can adjust; do not treat your display. That's how I've been able to successfully keep these fish without any issues.
It's probably a bacteria infection. You can treat it with kanamycin or nitrofuran. It should be fine with just good water quality. Maybe bring him to a store and trade him in for a smaller fish. Great looking fish.
Zany is a good guy I have dealt with him before. don't bash. He got a fish that was to big for his tank and was probably stressed upon arrival since he was in the bag for 2 days... If its a cloudy eye that's nothing to serious that can be fixed easily. if he has ich that is a different story cant really tell by the pic. Glws zany it is a beautiful fish.. Someone buy him and give him the proper home he needs, unfortunately I don't have a big enough tank for him.
I do, but a long way away. Going to be tough to sell an Achilles that looks so to be in rough shape. I would pay $225 for one, but only if it was clear and eating. OP really needs to try to find someone who can treat it otherwise its going to die. FWIW, I've QTd a big Achilles in a 40B before, just need lots of flow.
