i only know two ways #1 if it has an sps colony it sits in net the whole colony and pull it out with the coral. #2 this one is gonna sound mean but siphon him out durin a water change. thats how i caught my green and yellow clown devils

I was helping by friend clean his tank and we were siphoning the water out the 3rd floor window. His betta got siphoned out the window and landed on soil. It survived.

I feed my tank with a long clear plastic tube. The fish now swims up the tube regardless if there's food in it or not. I can easily catch any small fish in my tank.
