I would like to buy a lighting system this cyber Monday for my new build next summer and would appreciate your experience.

Radions are out of the question since I do think the spread on them would not be enough for a 30x30 footprint. I was thinking of a MH+LED combo like the reefbright

Or a MH+T5 combo like the Giesemann infinity series. What are you guys using? And how are ur results?

I plan on shifting most of my 65g mixed reef into more sps tank

I used 2 ai hydras on my 93 cube which lit the tank perfectly. .then I switched to a led t5 combo

If you got MH go with a SE bulb. A giesmenn spectra has much better spread than an infinity. My cube is a little larger 32x32 and it's lit perfectly with the spectra. This is total bright coverage with SPS growing in every part of the reef.

I wanted to try a different light that's all...nothing against the hydras...I upgraded so don't have the cube anymore
