What sort of turnover are you looking for? I highly recommend a Jebao RW4. It's a great wavemaker and you can't beat the price. You can get a brand new one with shipping for $60

I want something that will give some nice strong current to some sps I have... Do you think the jaebo would be strong enough for a 40 cube or too strong?

The RW4 is rated up to 1000 gph which for a 40 gallon tank is 25x volume. If you're doing strictly SPS, you can consider the RW8 which is rated up to 2100 gph and can be throttled down. I have two RW8 on my 75 gallon and it's more than enough. I run them at about 40-50% intensity (about 35-40x volume when I incorporate my return pump). At this flow rate I had to relocate a few of my LPS as they were getting too much flow. The appropriate GPH for your tank really depends on the corals you are trying to keep and the arrangement of your aquascape.

The random flow that a wavemaker gives you is preferable for SPS and helps maintain a cleaner tank as less detritus will settle in your tank. If you look at comparable wavemakers, they cost far more than Jebao
