Hi. I am transferring my stock from 65G to 165G Tall tank.
I have Blond Naso tang, Yellow tang, Purple tang, Sailfin Tang, and Hippo tang.
Also, two ocellaris clowns, flame angel, two cleaner shrimps, fire shrimp, 5 green chromies, and six line wrasse.
please, no tang police.....
Tank has strong currents that runs on the top section so tangs can stay in stream. All my tangs are happy and fat.
I also run huge skimmer design for 500G tank. My 65 had "wall" aquascape. this Tank has bonsai aquascape design.
I wanted to bring in 3 more Anthiasis for more colorful shoal effect.
Which ones would do better in this set up?
Thank you for your input.
I also doze NoPox so all Phos and Nitrates are fine.

i can't hold back so here it is...

your tangs will grow and produce more waste not to mention the territorial issues that might be advanced by the bonsai style.

Heavily stocking a tank is just asking for problems. Not only do you have to be diligent with maintenance but you have to pray nothing ever goes wrong. Problems will only be escalated because of your over stocking.

Hows your SPS? Can i see pics? If you got great growth and opening on your sps then maybe you can add the bartletts but I still think your aquarium isn't long term ready.

Hi. I new that police would not take long.lol
This would be LPS softy and Zoa dominant tank. I do have 11 SPS's in my upper part of the tank because of the strong currents and PAR needs. I ran 300W LED's that gives them plenty of light to grow. In fact I have to turn down their power because I was bleaching my SPS. There is an intricate balance of nutrients vs coral grows. I am also Totally aware that it is not possible to grow them together due to different requirements. This is my unique project which I am hoping to pull of. This is not my first year in the hobby and we all try to do impossible things.
I had a success with this in my 65 and I am trying to replicate it on a larger scale. I do regular maintenance and put infinite labor hours in to my tank. That is what keeps my stress from a day job a way.
I totally agree with you about a slow bomb in my tank, but I am trying to beat the odds. Will post pictures of SPS this weekend.
