I've noticed that all the on-line vendors are doing only 10% off which is really nothing.It's just like their regular sales when they do it so no difference.It's a one time a year event and so they can do better.

I've noticed that also. I'm also surprised more vendors here aren't doing it. Only store to post so far is reef shoppe in the Bronx. There's 2-3 other vendors on here I thought would be doing the same thing

Big stores like Marine Depot and Fosters are doing like 10-15%

unless a store plays the game of a markup to give u more % off they loose $...
U think reef shop makes $ on major discounted products.....NO ...it gets u in the door.

I noticed other stores that posted today literally copy and paste reef shoppes prices.... There is not much of a profit margin on dry goods (plus many are map priced) but livestock like you said the idea should be door busters much like big box stores do. I did seem some good deals out there just wish stores would be a little more original to make it more fun.

Guess it doesn't matter. More than half of the fish that people are buying same day will be dead in a week or 2

depends on what it is, there isnt much markup on dry goods to begin with if thats what youre wondering about. also ive seen stores play the race to the bottom game with prices on livestock so if its already low cant go much lower without loosing
