My trip out to LI during the week is now set for Monday. I have to be in the glen cove area around 4PM.

Can I see a pic of your Leprechauns Beard mother colony? Did you get it from Live Aquaria?

Here are the pics of the piece I have. By no means a colony yet, but unfortunately being that my DT is still in the year long process of transition from softie to SPS dominant, I house most of my SPS pieces in my frag tank still.

Thanks. That is interesting. It might be a wild leprechauns Beard. Kenny def. thinks it is. I'd love a piece sometime.

Long story to this coral. Short version: Originates in my system as an unknown frag, given to Sanjay, passed onto Live Aquaria. Sanjay lost his large colony, LA no longer has it, my colony is acting weird ( which is typical for this coral). No one knows what species this is and this is the closest we've seen to wild colony of it.

I actually went back through the forums looking for when you had talked to kenny about it and saw the whole story about you picking it out of the gutter as a little nub. Shame its vanished from sanjay and LA. The piece I have doesnt seem to ever act to weird, seems rather hardy from the year or so I've had the piece. It is a really nice piece though. Reminds me of a fuzzy version of a palettas pink tip.
