Skimmer Off Test

My tank is being running with the skimmer off for 5 days today and this is how it looks.

I started running the skimmer only at night when lights goes off and noticed Coral coloration improvement.
I might start running skimmer for only one or two days per week.

the pictures in comparison appear to be of different image quality.

I doubt 5 days without a skimmer is going to make a color improvement.

I recommend you let the skimmer be, if the tank is fine don't mess with it.

Go chase after the next frag or two....
Boredom is a killer....I have the skeletons to prove it

Thanks Diego, I?m not saying this happened in 5 days, the skimmer was only running for about 10 hours per day for about a month before I stopped running the skimmer.
I?m not trying to proof anything here it?s just a comment.

The least thing I want is to mess up my tank, you came over to my house last time I lost all my corals.

Honestly not trying to be an ******* here but the tank looks the same.. Picture quality is just different as mentioned. Either way the tank looks good. My skimmer broke and I haven't been running one but I am looking to get another because I just feel more comfortable running one.

There are 2 trends with skimmers.
1- run it 24/7 and let it remove everything.
2- run it 8-12 hours a day.
Skimmers don't know if its taking out good stuff or bad. It removes everything.
You have to figure out whats better for you tank. Mine runes better at 7/24 yours may not.one persons opinion.
