different name ballast, same bulb

i set up my 90g this weekend and have two different light set ups. one side is an aquamedic pendant and ballast the other side is a pfo pendant and ballast. both are 250w.

i have seen some articles on here that illustrate how different bulbs look under the same ballast ,but what about pics of the same bulb under different ballasts? is there any info on that?

btw i plan to run phoenix 14k

has anyone used two different ballasts in a tank? is the difference in color noticeable?

if they are both the same type of ballast they should be roughly the same color. are they double or single ended bulbs?

You will notice a difference.....


Definitely more between a Magnetic & Electronic ballast.

well i guess i'll just have to wait and see. the bulbs will get here by next week. i'll document the findings.

i was trying to say the will look the same if both are magnetic or electronic if it is one of each im sure there will be a difference.
