Finding good quality of LR

First of all Sorry for my bad english!! :smokin:
There are less than 10 stores here in athens greece that sell LR and in my personal experience i can't recognise a FIJI LR
.. i need to buy a good quality of LR but is difficult to me, is there any tips for this ..??

IMO the more porous the better. you want rocks w/ tons of holes and all sorts of shapes. try and stay away from round, heavy rocks

I believe that the best way to collect the Ultimate LR is when i go for a honeymoon to fiji islands..:lol2::lol2: when i'll be back i will carry a bag with rocks!!!:lol2::lol2:

Athens has 9 more aquarium shops than Manhattan so your doing better then us, lol. I like finding great looking base rock that is dead and making structures out of it. after the base rock is cycled (cooked, I hope your familiar with that term) then you can seed the rock with a few pieces of live rock. this is less expensive and you have a better chance of finding rock shapes and sizes that you really like.

aragonite is ok but i think if it's not well made over time it will start to crumble.

what jhale means by base rock is LR that has been left out and has no life. it's much cheaper this way. then you can use LR to seed the other pieces.
